- Obituary -- Elmer Rockford Hawkins
CRAWLEY -- Elmer Rockford Hawkins, 70, died Wednesday, June 21 in a Rainelle care center following a long illness.
Born May 6, 1919, at Crawley, he was the son of Gertrude Crane Hawkins of Crawley and the late Edward Rockford Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins was a 35 year resident of Baltimore, Md., was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the A&P store.
Other survivors include four daughters, Sandra Hawkins, Barbara Ally, Dena Martinez and Linda Vill, all of Baltimore; a son, Rocky Hawkins of Baltimore; a brother, David Hawkins of Mauldin, S.C., and three grandsons.
Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. Leroy Crane officiating. Burial will be in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville.
