Larry Edward Martin, 80, of Smoot, passed away in his home on June 13, 2024.
Larry was born in Rainelle on May 10, 1944 to Noah and Josie Osborne Martin. He was a coal miner. After his retirement, he enjoyed attending and selling at local flea markets. He loved to hunt and fish. All who knew Larry would say that he was one of a kind.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents; two sisters: Lovena Abreu and Louise Martin; and three brothers: Ronald, Leroy, and Lonzo Martin.
Survivors include his loving wife Wanda Hizer Martin; two daughters: Wendy Holliday (Shane) of Smoot, and Penny McClung (Bobby) of Quinwood; two stepchildren: Royce Burdette of Montgomery, and Charles Burdette of Snow Hill; six grandchildren: Carlene McClung, Cole McClung, Taylor Holliday, Kyle Holliday, Eric Martin, and William Burdette; two great-grandchildren: Gabriel Ayers and Hadley Brown; two brothers: Lacy Martin of Painsville, OH, and Charles Martin of Crag; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A graveside service will be held for Larry at the Martin Cemetery, Crag, on Thursday, June 20, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Whisman officiating.
