PETERSTOWN, WV - David Brian Akers, 49 of Peterstown, passed away Friday August 31, 2012 at his home.
Born June 27, 1963 at Pearisburg, VA., he was the son of the late James Heyward and Nellie Hall Akers.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Lynn Snapp Akers, one son, David Akers of Rich Creek, VA, three daughters, Tera Thompson of Bluefield, WV, Tabitha Akers of Princeton, WV and Tiffany White of Narrows, VA, one stepson, Jason Brookman of Princeton, WV, two step daughters, Jessica Braun of Peterstown, WV and Jennifer Thompson of Chicago, IL, two sisters, Neta Thomas of Peterstown, WV and Leta Dunn of Dublin, VA and seventeen grandchildren.
It was David’s wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, WV. Family and friends will gather for a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 P.M. until time of services.
