  	Obituary -- Herman Leroy Pugh RAINELLE -- Herman Pugh, 84, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2005 at Autumn Personal Care Home of Rupert following a long illness. Born Oct. 1, 1920, on Backus Mountain, he was the son of the late Sam and Ella Gill Pugh. Mr. Pugh was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of the UMWA and a retired coal miner. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eldine Pugh in 1984; and seven siblings, twins Paul and Pauline Pugh, Shirley Harrah, Sadie Wegner, Arlene Pugh, Burely Pugh and Jesse Pugh. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Margaret Carr of Cassia, Fla.; four stepsons, Ray Gene Carr and wife Mary Jane, of Rainelle, Roger Carr and wife, Kathleen, of Lake Mary, Fla., Mike Carr and wife, Mary Ann, of Oak Hill and Steven Carr and wife, Dianna, of Rainelle; three sisters, Maggie Pugh Caudell of Meadow Bridge, Dorothy Anderson and husband, Frank, of Laurel, Md., and Verna Asbury and husband, Ervin, of Middleburg, Fla.; four brothers, Arlie Pugh of Ocala, Fla., Ralph Pugh and wife, Violet, of Layland, Denny "Wilkiw": Pugh of Tupelo, Miss., and Harmon Pugh of Piney View; and eight grandchildren, Dr. Gene Ray, Kim, Mary Beth, Chris, John, Veda, Ashley and A.J. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Dana Gatewood and Pastor Eric Keister officiating. Burial will follow in Harrah Cemetery, Backus Mountain, Meadow Bridge.
