- Obituary -- Ethel Mae Grimes Dorsey
HOLLINS, Va. -- Ethel Mae (Grimes) Dorsey, 57, of Hollins, died Sunday, June 19, 1994, at the Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem, Va.
Born March 14, 1937, in Clifton Forge, Va., she was the daughter of Ezzie (West) Grimes and the late Frances J. Grimes, formerly of Midland.
Mrs. Dorsey as a graduate of Clifton Forge High School and the C&O School of Nursing. She was a frequent visitor to Midland where her late grandparents resided, Mr. & Mrs. John Grimes.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband David E. Dorsey; one sister, Catherine G. Simpson, Selma, Va.; two brothers, Dr. John W. Grimes, Lafayette, La.; Frances J. Grimes, Sparks, Nev., and a cousin, Frances (Grimes) Kalbaugh, Westernport.
Mrs. Dorsey's body was donated to science.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 23 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Clifton Forge.
