- Obituary -- Maynard Ervin Dorsey
NETTIE -- Maynard E. Dorsey, 70, died Monday, Sept. 24, at a Richwood medical center, following a short illness.
Born April 27, 1920, at Nettie, he was the son of the late Irvin and Goldie Smith Dorsey.
Mr. Dorsey was a retired coal miner and was a member of the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Olive Spencer on May 3, 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Dorsey of Nettie, John Dorsey of Vienna and David Dorsey of Vinton, Va.; two daughters, Linda Ros of Covington, Va. and Lenora Rogers of Mineral Wells; three sisters, Alma Dorsey of Kentucky, and Mamie Bond and Danta Chapman, both of Nettie and six grandchildren.
Services wil be Thursday at 2p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Summersville with the Rev. Rex Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Nettie.
