  Married: The Greenbrier Independent; Volume XXii; Number 9; August 4, 1887 - Marriages in June & July June - Joseph S. Crane, Jr. and Malinda Heaster. Book 1B, Page 98, Year of 1887, Line 36. There is evidence that Joseph and Malinda were living together as far back as 1869, but perhaps did not formally marry until 1887. Joseph gives his age as 44 instead of the computed 48, and Malinda gives her age as 32 instead of the computed 39.
