James Wesley (Buck) Smith, 66, of McRoss, Greenbrier County, died Saturday in a Clifton Forge, Va., hospital after a long illness.

He was a retired Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Co. employe, a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 372, Rainelle, and the Sewell Valley Baptist Church, Rainelle.

Born May 26, 1903 at Craig, he was a son of the late John L. and Ollie Osborne Smith.

Survivors, include his wife, Velma Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Lowell Jones, Louisville, Ky.; five sisters, Mrs. Wavie Wiseman, Mrs. Pansy Mitchell, Mrs. Catherine Hess, Mrs. Wanda Hardy, and Mrs. Warna Roberts, all of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, J. L. Smith Jr., Detroit, and Walter of Phoenix, Ariz., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday in the Sewell Valley Baptist Church, with the Rev. P. E. Orndoff in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle to the church at 5 p.m. Monday where it will remain until the funeral hour. (RNS)

Services Scheduled For James W. Smith

McROSS (RNS) - Funeral services for James Wesley (Buck) Smith, 66, of McRoss will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Sewell Valley Baptist Church with Rev. P. E. Orndorff and Rev. Lawrence Dorsey in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Smith died Saturady in a Clifton Forge, Va., hospital after a long illness.

The body will be taken from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle to the church at 5 p.m. today where it will remain until the funeral hour.
