Mrs. Hamm Lilly Feted At Party

JUMPING BRANCH (RNS) - Mrs. Hamm Lilly of Ellison Ridge Road celebrated her 64th birthday anniversary Sunday afternoon at Bluestone State Park with a family reunion and picnic given by her seven sons and their families.

They include Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Lilly and son, David, of Mabscott, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lilly and children, Roy, Dennie and Debbie, Mr. and Mrs. Aubery Lilly, and children, Kathy, Karen and John, Mr. and Mrs. Don Lilly and son, Robbie, all of Jumping Branch; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lilly and children, Larry and Susie, of Oak Hill, and her sons, Alonza and Luther Lilly of Jumping Branch.

Others present were her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wickline, Gene Lilly, Sherry Lilly, Ernest Lilly, Elisha Cooper, Rev. Elmo Alderman and daughter, Karen, Barbie Bragg, Connie Pack and Sherry Crook.

Mrs. Lilly's birthday was Monday.


Gertrude married Abdal Hamilton "Hamm" LILLY, son of Alfred Green LILLY and Mary Etta PACK, on 24 Jul 1924 in TN.4713 (Abdal Hamilton "Hamm" LILLY was born on 12 May 1901 in Summers Co., WV 55 and died in Sep 1980 in Jumping Branch, Summers Co., WV 55.)

38th Anniversary Slated By Couple

NIMITZ (RNS) ? Mr. and Mrs. Hamm Lilly of Fall Rock will observe their 38th wedding anniversary Tuesday. The couple was married July 24, 1924, in Tennessee.

Mrs. Lilly, the former Miss Gertrude Lilly, is a daughter of the late Richard and Minnie Rollyson Lilly. Her husband is a son of the late Alfred Green and Mary Etta Pack Lilly.

The couple has lived in Summers County all their lives and at their present home 26 years.

Lilly has worked as mail truck driver for the Post Office Department in Hinton and is now active in farming. They are both members of the Nimitz Missionary Baptist Church.

They have seven children, Palmer Lilly of Beckley, Frank Lilly of Fall Rock, Paul Lilly of Jumping Branch, Aubrey Lilly of Baltimore, Md., and Don, Luther, and Alzona Lilly all at home, and eight grandchildren.
