HILLTOP ? Gladys Naomi McClung, 77, of Hilltop, W.Va., died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, W.Va.

Born Dec. 8, 1930, at Layland, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Sceverna Fitzpatrick Jinks.

Mrs. McClung was a homemaker, a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Pea Ridge, and was loved by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Allen McClung; five brothers, Alvin Callahan, John Jinks, Bobby Jinks, Vernon Jinks, and Henry Jinks Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Blevins and Mamie Kelley.

Survivors include her son, Henry A. McClung and his wife, Carol, of Hilltop; a granddaughter, Samantha McClung Yearego and her husband, Curtis, of Oak Hill; two brothers, Nathan Jinks of Sedalia, Mo., and James Jinks and his wife, Merium, of Dyke, Va.; a sister, Margie Hampton and her husband, Ray, of Erlanger, Ky.; brother and sister-in-law, William and Velma McClung of Parma, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Lillian McClung of Hilltop; two great-grandsons, Joseph and Jakob Yearego; caregiver, Lynn Fernandez; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Rev. Ronald Shields and Rev. James Jinks officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Nephews and grandson-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.

Galdys married Oather Allen McCLUNG, son of Allen Rosco McCLUNG and Clara E. ARGABRIGHT. (Oather Allen McCLUNG was born on 28 May 1919 in Redstar, Fayette Co., WV ⁴⁴¹ and died before 2006.)
