Mrs. Bessie Irene Hunter, 89, of Rainelle, died Tuesday at home after a long illness. She was a member of McRoss Baptist Church, McRoss, Greenbrier County. Surviving: husband, George; daughters, Edna Hobbs of Rainelle, Garnette Jean Cox of Uhrichsville, Ohio, Bona Lee Knapp of Louisville, Ky., Betty Fleshman of Chesapeake, Va.; sons, the Rev. Kermit Hunter and Kenneth, both of Rainelle, Quinton of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Alma Fleshman of Beckley; 30 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.

Bessie married George Washington HUNTER, son of Robert A. "Bob" HUNTER and Mary Kathryn "Kate" CRANE, on 10 Sep 1913 in Ironton, Lawrence Co., OH.⁵³⁴ (George Washington HUNTER was born on 20 Mar 1892 in Kieffer, Greenbrier Co., WV, died on 14 Sep 1986 in Fairlea, Greenbrier Co., WV and was buried in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV.)
