Osborne Rites Slated
RAINELLE (RNS) - Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Robert Guy Osborne, 67, Rainelle, who died at 7 a.m. Monday in the Beckley Veterans Administration Hospital following a month's illness.
Rites will be conducted in the chapel of the Nickell Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Sewell Valley Baptist Church, with military rites to be conducted at the grave by John Page Post 484, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a retired farmer and miner and a veteran of World War I. Born in Rainelle Aug. 1, 1886, he was the son of the late Robert and Rebecca Hedrick Osborne.
Surviving are four brothers, William of Layland; Lee, McKinley, and Andrew, all of Rainelle.
